Last month, the champagne flowed as Marjorie Wallace was named Campaigner of the Year at the Oldie Awards. She perched animatedly on Peter O'Toole's knee as Leslie Phillips, Sir John Mortimer and others toasted her pioneering work with SANE, the mental health charity she founded 21 years ago.
