This has been a crucial week: her campaign for the mental health charity, SANE, to fund a new research centre teeters on the verge of success, still short of its last million, without which the whole edifice could tumble like a pack of cards. In the midst of this, she has to decide whether or not to have a mastectomy for her breast cancer.
